UN chief reviews self-policing, nominates watchdog

The problem here is you have the fox watching other foxes. Not exactly the optimum solution. The main problem with the UN is and always has been is that no one working at the UN is elected by the citizens of any nation. The major positions all appointed by the various nations. Now you can stomp and shout about democracy all you want, (Such a thing does not exist nor has it ever on a national basis) but this is not democracy or a republic. The UN is a plutocracy or something similar. Until this changes the UN is nothing more than a clearing house for long winded blowhards.
